David Palmer has been directing in Hollywood for over a decade, bringing with him behind the lens a vibrant range of creativity to an immense and multi-faceted body of success that has transcended from music videos and commercials to motion pictures, documentaries, web series and branded content. Palmer's directing career launched with music videos for such top talent as Juvenile, Nelly, Toni Braxton, Lil Wayne, The Dandy Warhols and Mary J. Blige & Ja Rule. His video work quickly became widely recognized for their stunning quality, vibrant style and unconventional production design as much as the dynamic range of talent who he collaborated with. It would be his hit music video "Air Force Ones" for Nelly, with its scripted scenes and off the cuff dialogue performed by Nelly, The St. Lunatics and pro athletes Marshall Faulk alongside Hall-of-Famer Ozzie Smith, which would open the door to elevate Palmer's unique vision from stylized music videos to realizing a desire to direct non-professional actors across multiple mediums. An exploration into directing long form transformed next through an opportunity from Rip Curl, who offered Palmer, an avid surfer, to direct two thirty minute branded surf documentaries for the company. Outside of the kinetic surf footage he captured, it was Palmer's ability to get pro surfers to open up with honesty to reveal their true selves that set both films apart from a herd of surf documentaries amidst the marketplace and the industry took notice. In 2008, Palmer was granted the good fortune to refine his documentary imprint as both a Director and Director of Photography for the critically acclaimed MyCadillacStory.com campaign for General Motors/Cadillac. Palmer's direction of Jimmy Johnson, Coach K and a record setting story on Jay Leno, helped solidify MyCadillacStory's YouTube destination as the 5th most watched branded channel on YouTube that year. As MyCadillacStory came to a close, Palmer sought out a new quest to push his Directorial skills; a journey that would take him to Las Vegas over two years to self-fund his documentary feature film: Stripped: Greg Friedler's Naked Las Vegas. The film was purchased by Showtime Networks and premiered in March of 2010 to become the 5th most watched documentary in Showtime Platform primetime history. Most recently, Palmer along with Dax Shepard collaborated on the comedy motion picture Brothers Justice. This unique combination pairs Shepard's fresh comedic vision with Palmer's ability to add a true sense of raw reality to create a believability factor into even the most absurd situations. Brother's Justice stars Dax Shepard, Tom Arnold and Nate Tuck who are joined by a list of cameos including Ashton Kutcher, Bradley Cooper, and Jon Favreau. The film is currently on the festival circuit. On the horizon for Palmer and his Palmer Productions is "School Pride", an original 5 Webisode Series for NBC and Microsoft that chronicles the competitive journey of schools nationwide as they vie to win a computer lab makeover sponsored by NBC.com and Microsoft. Palmer is also slated to direct the documentary False Finish, a film that goes from ringside to bedside with some of the world's greatest wrestlers to seek answers to the high ratio of deaths that plague wrestlers under the age of 50. David Palmer attended the Newhouse School for film at Syracuse University where he honed his skills both as a Director and Photographer. His company Palmer Productions is located in Venice California. Although his busy schedule finds him across the globe, he prefers being near his wife and son; and near a good surf break of course.

Comedic actor Dax Shepard wants to change genres: with friend and producer Nate Tuck, he concocts a concept for an action film featuring martial arts. They drop in on Ashton Kutcher to see if he'll co-star, ask Jon Favreau to direct, and seek advice from Tom Arnold (because he was in "True Lies"). The road to a green light is rough, full of stops and cul-de-sacs. Along the way there's a front-yard wrestling match with Bradley Cooper and David Koechner, back stories on other Shepard/Tuck ventures, and a rupture in a life-long friendship. Can Dax get his kung-fu movie made in spite of rejection?
